We are back from our summer holidays, and HashBang goes on location. This episode was taped at TechHub in Google Campus, London.
The guys catch up after a short summer break. Chris’s startup Bardowl has launched and James has a new job. James does a seamless introduction to the BANG Line!
Elizabeth Varley, CEO of TechHub, joins them, digging into how she arrived in London from Australia, and her first roles in the UK. Elizabeth moves on to tell us about the inspiration for TechHub, working with Mike Butcher (of TechCrunch Europe fame) as a co-founder, bootstrapping, major milestones, working with Number 10, the appeal of London, and what’s next.
As always, listen to the podcast for the extended interview…

Chris and James are joined by uber connected European angel investor and start up mentor, Muriel Devillers.
Hear about the trends Muriel is seeing in tech investment, how to pitch, how to network, how to keep it simple. Oh and why living in Europe is fine. Forget moving to the Valley, its a myth!
The eagle eyed amongst you will notice the audio quality of this episode is reminiscent of the first few shows, well thats because we actually filmed Muriel back in February of this year! We wanted to take advantage of Muriel being in London when we had the chance to interview her, and now seemed like the perfect time to release it, this being our second investor interview, after Tony in Episode 1.
We only think of you dear viewers
